Queer Joy Is Contagious!
And I’m trying to start an epidemic!
I’m Dr. Tuffy Love Andrews: drag queen, sociologist, entertainer, and community organizer bringing big hair, bigger opinions, and a little joyful trouble to Southeast Louisiana.
Whether I’m onstage, behind a microphone, or building community, the goal is the same: make room for queer people to be seen, celebrated, and heard.
How It All Started
I started doing drag in 2022, when attacks on drag and LGBTQ+ communities made it clear that visibility could be both celebration and resistance.
What began as a response to those attacks has grown into an extension of my work as a sociologist. I use drag to entertain, bring people together, start conversations, and remind folks that queer people belong here—especially in the South.
More Than a Pretty Face
Catch me hosting a drag show, running trivia, emceeing a community event, or talking about the social world from behind a fabulous pair of lashes.
I bring humor, heart, and a distinctly sociological perspective to performances, public conversations, and community celebrations.
